Lee W. Maczis

SALISBURY - Lee W. Maczis died Friday, May 6, 2016, at home, surrounded by family. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Arthur J. and Helen P. Jump Maczis. He was a longtime member of Bethesda United Methodist Church in Salisbury and retired in 1995 as Deputy Chief of the Salisbury Fire Department. A U.S. Navy veteran, he served on the USS Quincy and USS McKean during the Korean War. He was an amateur radio operator. He is survived by a son, Gary Maczis; two grandchildren; and a sister, Janet Larrimore. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Rachel June Brasure Maczis, on March 9, 2016, and by a brother, Arthur J Maczis Jr. A funeral service was held at Holloway Funeral Home on Saturday, May 14, 2016, followed by interment in Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury.
