EAST NEW MARKET, Md. - Lawrence Blake Adshead died Saturday, May 21, 2016 at his residence, with his family by his side. Born Nov. 17, 1938 in Cambridge, Md., he was the son of the late Lawrence Edmund Adshead and Thelma "Pinky" Blake Adshead. Mr. Adshead served in the Maryland Army National Guard and owned and operated a ceramic tile company, Lawrence E. Adshead & Son, for many years, retiring in 1991. He was a past member of Trinity United Methodist Church in East New Market and presently attended Sunnyside Alliance Church. He was a former member of BPO Elks Lodge 1272 and a current member American Legion Post 91, both in Cambridge, Md. He is survived by his wife, Linda Ann Haas Adshead, whom he married in 2004; two daughters, Lori Ann Holliday and husband, John, and Susan Louise Andrews and husband, Ronnie; grandchildren Blake Holliday, Kayla Holliday, Chase Andrews and Graham Andrews; the mother of his daughters, Kaye Adshead; two stepsons, Jeff W. Bishop and Jason H. Bishop; step grandchildren, Erin Holliday, Krista Holliday, Kara Lee Bishop and Olivia Margaret Bishop. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Elaine Adshead and Judy Ann Kreiser. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Sunnyside Alliance Church in Secretary, Md., where the family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Rev. James E. Harper, Rev. Richard A. Storr and Mr. David Tolley will officiate. Arrangements are in the care of Zeller Funeral Home in East New Market. Tim Todd, Russell Collins, Chase Andrews, Blake Holliday, Tom Harper, and Bryan Willey will serve as pallbearers. Theodore August Haas, George Hessler, and Graham Andrews will serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow in East New Market Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Coastal Hospice, P. O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD., 21802. Arrangements are in the care of the Zeller Funeral Home in East New Market.
