CRISFIELD - Kathryn Roberta Young and formerly of Baltimore, died Friday, Apr. 14, 2017, at her home.
Born in Johnstown, Pa. on Jan. 4, 1926, she was a daughter of the late John A. and Kathryn Gettings McCormick.
Her husband of 69 years, Luther B. Young, preceded her in death exactly one year prior, on Apr. 14, 2016.
She was a homemaker, and a member of Christ Fellowship Bible Church. She enjoyed bowling, ceramics, and the Senior Center, in Edgemere. She especially loved her family and being a grandmother.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Homer McCormick.
She is survived by three children, James Young, of Baltimore, Kathryn Gaither and husband Chuck, of Crisfield, and David Young, of Baltimore; a brother, Robert McCormick, of Pa.; and several grandchildren; great- grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
Funeral services officiated by the Rev. Stephen S. Willing, was held Tuesday, Apr. 18, 2017, at 2 p.m., at Christ Fellowship Bible Church, in Marion, where a viewing was one hour prior.
Interment was in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ Fellowship Bible Church, 5910 Crisfield Hwy., Marion Station, MD 21838; or Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, Md. 21802-1733.
Arrangements are in the care of Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home.
