Julia Mae Lindsey, 85

     Mrs. Julia Mae Lindsey peacefully transitioned into the kingdom of our Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 6, 2026. Her passing has left a deep void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
     Julia was born in Newberry, South Carolina, to the late Willie Robinson and Stacy Robinson. Julia was a devoted wife, loving mother, faithful daughter, nurturing sister, loyal friend, and a woman of exceptional strength and character.
     Julia was a member of First Baptist Church of Cheswold for over 30 years, where she was a Trustee for many years. Her unwavering faith in God was the foundation of her life. Julia loved her family deeply and believed in doing what was right, standing firmly on biblical principles, and encouraging others to be their best. Strong-willed and outspoken, she was never afraid to speak her mind. Her presence was felt by everyone around her, and she brought strength, honesty, and love into the lives of those she touched.
     Julia was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years OJ Lindsey and her oldest daughter, Carol Ann Tolson, she leaves behind her cherished children, Philip J. Lindsey Sr., and Linda Jaeger; four sisters, Shirley Kinard, Willie Mae Caldwell, Betty Ann Boles, and Jerdine Bookman; one brother, Bennie Robinson; four grandchildren, Philip J. Lindsey Jr., Dara Page Lindsey, Elijah J Jaeger, and Zoe D. Jaeger; two sons-in-law, Gregory Tolson and Jonathan Jaeger; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members that were special to her including, Raymond Werts, Gloria Perry, Debra Mathis, Tressie Jeter, and James Kinard Jr., as well as extended members of the Robinson and Lindsey families, numerous friends from the First Baptist Church of Cheswold and former coworkers from Playtex.
     Julia’s impact on the lives of others will live on through the memories she created, the wisdom she shared, and the love she gave so freely. Her faith in God was the fabric of her life, and her legacy of faith, family, strength, and love will continue through generations.
     Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life and legacy on Saturday, October 3rd at 1pm, at the Calvary Baptist Church (Downtown), located at the corner of Queen St. and 410 Fulton St. in Dover, DE. Send flowers to Calvary Baptist Church or in lieu of flowers, please make online gifts in memory of Julia Lindsey to the Dementia Society of America www.DementiaSociety. org/donate. Viewing will be from 12pm to 1pm, directly followed by funeral services. Burial will be at Arlington Cemetery, Arlington, VA and the date and time will be announced at a later point.
     Rest peacefully, Mrs. Julia Mae Lindsey. Your earthly work is complete, but your love and legacy will live forever in our hearts.
