CAMBRIDGE - Josephine Glassman Adams, 80, formerly of Bel Air died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006, at Dorchester General Hospital.
For the past two years she had resided at Chesapeake Woods in Cambridge.
Born in Churchville on Jan. 19, 1926, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman E. Adams Sr. who died Nov. 25, 1955, leaving her to raise three young children.
Mrs. Adams worked as an employee for the Federal Government at Edgewood Arsenal and Aberdeen Proving Ground for 37 years. She retired in September 1987 holding the prestigious position as Secretary to the Commanding General of the U.S. Army Ordnance Center and School.
Mrs. Adams is survived by her three children and families, Lois Adams Testerman and her husband, Gerald of Church Creek, Herman E. Adams Jr. and his wife, Bonnie of Delta, Pa., and Ronald J. Adams and his wife, Beverly of Bel Air; grandchildren, Kelly Testerman Jackson, and husband, Paul of Cambridge, Brian Adams of Perry Hall, Todd Adams of Bel Air, and Allison Adams of Bel Air; great-grandchildren, Kyle and Emily Jackson of Cambridge.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday McComas Funeral Home, 50 W. Broadway, Bel Air. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Harold Hubble. Burial will follow at Bel Air Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Todd Adams, Brian Adams, Paul Jackson, and Gregory Fantom.
