Johnnie B. Johnson

SALISBURY - Johnnie B. Johnson died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Wilbur Benson Johnson and Daisie Cecelia Hardy Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dawn A. Trocki Johnson of Salisbury; three sons, Jeffrey Benson Johnson, Nick Jason Johnson and Aaron Keith Johnson, all of Salisbury; two sisters, Ruby Riggin of Salisbury and Audrey Smith of Delmar; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Roger Lee Johnson.
A 1969 graduate of James M. Bennett High School, he began his career at Dresser Industries. He left Dresser in 1971 and then worked at Crown, Cork & Seal for 30 years. After the plant closed, he worked at the Eastern Correctional Institute in Westover, retiring in 2012. He was a member of the Cross Pointe Church of the Nazarene in Salisbury; the Mason-Dixon Woodworkers and the Shore Seekers Metal Detecting Club.
A Celebration Of Life was held Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, at the Cross Pointe Church of the Nazarene. Inurnment was at Wicomico Memorial Park. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
