Jesse H. Gaddis

SALISBURY - Jesse H. Gaddis, 84, the son of the late Edith Elzey and Jesse Hersel Gaddis Sr., died Sunday, May 14, 2017.
A 1950 graduate of Salisbury High School, he attended the University of Maryland and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he served for nine years.
He was a member of VFW Post 10159.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Pauretta Gaddis; three sons, Wardell Fennell, Anthony Fennell and Hersel Gaddis; two daughters, Karen Cottman and Deborah Roberts, all of Salisbury; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three stepchildren, Marion Banks of Salisbury, Jean Burkett of Texas and Barbra Bell of Nevada.
A graveside service was held Friday, May 19, 2017, at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron. Arrangements are in the care of Stewart Funeral Home by Holloway & Downey in Salisbury.
