DELMAR - Jeanette Gordy, 84, of Delmar, died Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at Delmar Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Laurel, the daughter of the late Chester and Lida Windsor. She spent 20 years working as an office administrator for the DuPont Co. in Seaford. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Salisbury, and she proudly served in the Women's Army Corps. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Elijah F. Gordy; daughters, Barbara Gordy Dennis of Salisbury, Charlotte Louise Hastings of Millsboro, and Vickie Leigh Nelson of Crisfield; a son, Mark Franklin Gordy of Delmar; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, a brother, Jack Windsor. A funeral service was held Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Interment was at Line Cemetery in Whitesville. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
