SALISBURY - Jean C. Hill, 80, of Salisbury, died on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Wicomico Nursing Home in Salisbury. Born on November 10, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Irving F. Cannon of Cambridge, Md. Mrs. Hill was a 1953 graduate of Cambridge High School. She graduated from Salisbury State Teachers College where she earned a bachelor's degree. Mrs. Hill was an educator in Worcester County for thirty two years. She was a longtime member of Bethesda United Methodist Church and The Town and Country Garden Club. She was a former member of the Junior Auxiliary Board of PRMC, the Worcester County Teachers Association, the Maryland State Teachers Association, the National Teachers Association, The Inner Wheel, and Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority of Key Women Teachers. Mrs. Hill enjoyed reading, music and gardening. Her greatest love, however, was her family and friends. She was beloved wife, devoted mother and loyal friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, of 48 years, William T. Hill, whom she met and married in college. She is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey C. Hill and his wife Krista and Michael W. Hill and his wife Susan, all of Salisbury; her nephew, Gilbert C. Dean and his wife Penny; and several other nephews and nieces. A funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2016, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Friends may call one hour prior to the cemetery. The Reverend Dale Vroman will officiate. Interment will be held in Wicomico Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
