CAMBRIDGE - James William Travers III, 26, passed away on Monday, Dec. 3, 2007 at Dorchester General Hospital.
He was born Sept. 2, 1981 in Cambridge, son of Estella Marine and James Williams Travers Jr.
James graduated from Cambridge-South Dorchester High School, Class of 1999. He was employed with various businesses in the area. His last place of employment was with B & G in Hurlock.
He loved Brad Demby like a brother. James enjoyed hanging out with Dennis Cephas, Darryl Freeman and his god brother, Linwood Marine.
His hobbies were fishing and hunting and he loved animals.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by seven sisters, Michelle Demby, April Demby, Shermaine Travers, Jamie Travers, Jennifer Travers, Amy Travers and Shanika Travers; two brothers, Fred Demby and Jason Travers, all of Cambridge; six aunts, Rose Mary Johnson (Melvin), Patsy Hines (James), Connie Travers, Christine Anderson (Theodore), Min. Elsie Ennals (Oliver) and Lois Dillard (Ivy); three uncles, Samuel Waters (Marilyn) of Baltimore, Howard Marine of Pennsylvania and Edward Mundy (Deborah) of Fort Washington; grandmother, Rita Travers of Church Creek and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Shawn Travers; grandmother, Mary Garrison; two grandfathers, James Travers Sr. and Howard Manokey; two aunts, Betty Travers and Gloria Marine.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, at Refuge Temple Church of God with a viewing two hours prior to the services. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
The Henry Funeral Home, PA in Cambridge is handling the arrangements.
