CAMBRIDGE - James T. Reiter Sr., 77, formerly of Ellicott City, died in his home in Cambridge, on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Catherine A. Reiter.
Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Marie and Frank T. Reiter; brother of the late Frank Reiter and sister Lillian Muth. He is survived by his sister, Peggy Sellors.
Mr. Reiter was the parent of seven children: Bobbie Boone of Ellicott City, Jim Reiter of Finksburg, Mike Reiter of Ellicott City, Jeff Reiter of Mt. Airy, Rick Reiter of Taneytown, Katie Miller of Eldersburg, and the late Katie Reiter. In addition, he has 14 grandchildren.
Jim was an excellent craftsman making numerous pieces of furniture and accessories over the years. He was retired from C & P Telephone Co., and until a few years ago he and his wife were commercial crabbers.
He very much enjoyed woodworking, crabbing, boating, collecting antiques, and he enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends.
Funeral services were provided by Sterling Ashton in Catonsville, today and Thursday. Burial in New Cathedral Cemetery,
