Rescue Fire Company and EMS volunteers work to peel the roof open on a Jeep Cherokee to extract the driver after a crash on March 24. The Jeep wound up on its side on Dorchester Avenue in Cambridge after a Ford Taurus with Delaware tags failed to yield at a stop sign on eastbound LeCompte Street.
The Taurus clipped the right rear quarter panel of the Jeep, overturning it. Both drivers were taken to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Dorchester for evaluation and treatment of minor injuries; the names of the drivers involved were not released pending notification of family.
