HURLOCK – A woman is being held without bond following a stabbing incident.

On Feb. 18, deputies from the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office and members of the Hurlock Police Department responded to 6233 Rossing Street, Hurlock, for a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, deputies met with the suspect, a 59-year-old woman of that address, who said that she had stabbed 50-year-old Andre Henry, who resides at 2906 Mowbray Creek Road, Federalsburg.

She stated that she stabbed him after he allegedly tried to force himself on her, a statement from the Sheriff’s Office said.

The victim fled the area and was located at his residence. E.M.S. was notified and he was transported to Nanticoke Hospital for treatment of several stab wounds. He was listed in serious but stable condition.

The investigation is continuing. The arrest was based on evidence collected at the scene.

Witnesses who were present advised the assault by Mr. Henry did not occur, the statement said. No witnesses were able to corroborate the information provided by the suspect.

The suspect, Edna Molock, was arrested and charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment. She was ordered held without bond.
