TRAPPE - Hattie B. Stanley, 94, passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006, at the Memorial Hospital at Easton.

Born in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Reida B. Banks.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Stanley.

Prior to retiring, she was a private sitter for various families and nursing assistant at Van Cortland Park Convalescent Facility in Van Cortland, N.Y.

She is survived by a son, Alfred Banks Sr., (Maude); two sisters, Patsy McNeil and Rose Cooper, both of Salisbury; a grandson, Alfred Banks Jr. (Danita) of Trappe; a number of other relatives.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Orville Banks.

A funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday at Bethel AME Church in Cambridge with the Rev. Alan Gould officiating. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Old Field Cemetery in Church Creek.

The Lewis N. Watson Funeral Home in Salisbury is handling the arrangements.
