Great Chesapeake Bay Wellness Race & Family Walk

To raise awareness of the stigma associated with mental illness, the Eastern Shore Hospital Center Auxiliary will hold in-person 5K and 10K timed races, as well as a virtual option, during Thanksgiving week.

The Hyatt Regency of the Chesapeake Bay and the ESHC Auxiliary have joined together to sponsor the 2021 Great Chesapeake Bay Wellness Race & Family Walk as a hybrid event.

On Saturday, Nov. 20, on the Hyatt’s River Marsh Golf Club course, at 8 a.m., participants running the timed 10K race will begin, followed at 8:15 a.m. by the 5K timed run.  Awards will be presented to the first- and second-place male and female runners in the following age groups – Under 18, 18-29, 30-49 and 50+. 

The virtual event also begins Nov. 20 at 8 a.m. and runs through Friday, Nov. 26, at 5 p.m.

For the in-person races, please arrive by 7:30 a.m. to ensure ample time for check-in. Free parking will be available on the grounds of the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Resort. Please follow the instructions of the volunteers on the morning of the event.
