CAMBRIDGE — The kitchen, hallways and meeting rooms were buzzing on Thanksgiving Day at Grace United Methodist Church. After several months of planning and work from a whole host of volunteers in the area, the church served a traditional Thanksgiving meal to anyone who was interested. In 2015, the church served more than 1,200 meals and planned to serve more this year. According to Gail Skinner who led delivery arrangements, Grace Church made roughly 600 deliveries in this 13th year of serving Thanksgiving meals to the community. Elks Lodge 1272 cooked 30 turkeys leading up to Thanksgiving Day. The many Thanksgiving side dishes were prepared at the church and community members donated an array of desserts.
