Grace Mumford

SALISBURY - Grace Parker Mumford, 93, died on Sept. 22, 2015, at Coastal Hospice on the Lake surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death in 2008 by her husband of 47 years, Thomas Mumford Jr. Born on Parker Road in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mamie Parker and was the sister of Elmer Parker of North Carolina and of the late Warren Parker, Isaac Parker and Edward Parker, and had many nieces and nephews. She is survived by two sons, Dale R. Mumford of Ridgely, Md., Thomas J. "T.J." Mumford III of Hebron, and daughter, Linda M. Kent. She was the grandmother of five and great-grandmother of six. A funeral service was held Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, in Trinity United Methodist Church. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
