CAMBRIDGE — On Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26, Grace United Methodist Church will host its 12th annual Community Thanksgiving Day Dinner. Last year it was estimated that about 1,000 dinners were served, delivered, or taken as a carry-out. The church is preparing for just as many, this year. An event like this does not happen without dozens of volunteers. Members of Grace UMC and other churches in the county, will cook, carve, roast, bake, prepare, and serve a delicious, traditional Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday. Planning began several months ago. Meal preparation will take place starting on Monday and going right up to the time to eat. Dinner will be served beginning at noon in the Baraca room and is open to everyone in the community at no charge. Support from other churches, local businesses, community members, and the help of many people make this dinner possible. Carry-outs will be available and deliveries can be made.  Transportation to and from the church is also available. Monetary or food donations will be accepted. To volunteer, make a donation, or request a delivery, please call the Grace Church office at 410-228-4353 and leave a message; for deliveries please call before Wednesday and leave your name, address, and telephone number. Pastor Christina Blake and the members of Grace Church invite you to come enjoy good food and fellowship and be a part of this heartwarming experience.
