SELBYVILLE, Del. - Gene Warden Gray, 75, passed away at 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore following surgery.
He was born June 29, 1932, in Elliott, son of Rannie and Mildred Gray.
Mr. Gray had been employed at the Minit Market in Ocean City, Md. for the past 24 years.
Mr. Gray is survived by his wife of 40 years, Shirley Dayton Gray of Selbyville; one son, Kent Gray of Ocean City; one stepson, William "Rusty" Russel Robbins of Federalsburg, Md.; one stepdaughter, Nancy Kaye Alexander of Baltimore; two sisters, Anna Belle Frazier and Martha Brooks, both of Cambridge, Md.; four brothers, Wylie Gray and his wife, Sue, and George Gray and his wife, Dottie, all of Cambridge; Larry Gray and his wife, Pat, of Linthicum, Md., and Doug Gray and his wife, Sharon, of Mobile, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Glen, Wendell and Kermit.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Matthew by the Sea Church in Fenwick Island, with the Rev. Bruce Miller officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the building fund for Bayside Chapel in Fenwick.
