CAMBRIDGE - Garland "Gary" W. Felty passed away on Aug. 8, 2018.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Mary Jane Walsh Felty; daughter, Sophia L. Felty; son, Nicholas R. Felty; mother, Virginia Felty; brother, Terry Felty; and sister, Anita Mitchem. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Garland Preston "Pete" Felty.
Gary recently retired as an Activities Therapy Associate from the Eastern Shore Hospital Center. He received his Bachelor's degree from Salisbury State University and was a 1981 graduate of Cambridge South Dorchester High School.
Gary loved his family, friends, animals, food and the color orange. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, lacrosse, the Dallas Cowboys, the Washington Capitals and Civil War history.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, 5464 Elks Lodge Rd., Cambridge, Md. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Gary's name to your local animal shelter.
