SALISBURY - Gail Elizabeth Thompson died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Gatesville, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Aaron Parker and Theresa Odom Parker. A member of New Dimensions Family Ministries, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology at Connecticut College in New London, Conn. She owned an antique shop in Baltimore and was later employed by CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield in Salisbury as a medical assistant representative. She is survived by her husband, Carlos B. Thompson Sr.; one daughter, Ebonee J. Thompson; two sons, Carlos B. Thompson Jr. and William N. Thompson; three sisters, Martha J. Carter, Estelle "Naomi" Vaughn and Sarah Denise Parker; three brothers, Willie "Jesse" Parker, Ervin "Bernard" Parker and Sirlester Parker; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, at New Dimensions Family Ministries in Salisbury. Disposition will be private. Arrangements are in the care of Lewis N. Watson Funeral Home in Salisbury.
