Frederic E. Wierman, 83
Fred Wierman died peacefully at home on July 10, 2021. Born in Woodbury, N.J, he was the son of Ervin S. Wierman and Lois P. Wierman.
He is survived by his wife, Pam Wierman; sister, Jane Whitmore of Salisbury, Md.; sons Scott F. Wierman (Lauren) of Hilton Head, S.C. and Mark S. Wierman (Sandy) of Charlotte, N.C.; grandchildren, Mary Beth Eastridge (Tim) of Charlotte, N.C., Abby Hoffman (Justin) of Winston-Salem, N.C., John Wierman of Chapel Hill, N.C.; great grandson, Frederic Eastridge; and brothers-in-law, David Belyea and Tom Belyea; and nieces and nephews.
Fred cherished his family most of all, especially the love of his life for nearly 60 years, Pam. Fred was a dedicated father, friend, mentor, parishioner, volunteer and attorney. He had unbounded patience, love, and compassion for all. Much of his free time was spent with family enjoying Ocean City and visiting his extended family in North Carolina to show his pride and support. He was a tremendous supporter of his community, enjoying 50 years in the Salisbury Rotary Club and St. Peter's Episcopal Church, and serving as a hospital volunteer and school mentor. He was a friend to many, known and unknown, and treasured time spent with his running group and Wednesday morning Bible study.
He was a graduate of The Peddie School, Tufts University, and the University of North Carolina School of Law in Chapel Hill, N.C. He practiced law in Salisbury for 42 years as a partner with Hearne & Bailey.
A memorial service will be held July 31, 2021 at 2 p.m. with visitation at 1 p.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Salisbury, Md.
