Henderson, 96 CRISFIELD - Fred Malcom Henderson went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 26, 2013, at his home in Marion, after a period of declining health. Fred was born on Sept. 16, 1916, to Fred Warner Henderson and Annie Elizabeth Beauchamp Henderson. His wife, Olga Tyler Henderson, preceded him in death in 1993. He was a retired school bus driver for Somerset County schools, an auto body technician for many years with the Allen Green Garage in Marion, and then self-employed at his own Marion Body Shop. He was an active member and the oldest surviving member of the Marion Fire Department. He was also skilled at wood working and made many beautiful pieces of furniture for his home and for his family. He enjoyed working in his yard and out in his shop. He is survived by his twin sons, Fred W. Henderson and wife Kathy, and Howard W. Henderson and wife Jean, all of Marion; three grandchildren, John David Henderson of Charleston, SC, Joanna Masiello and husband Justin of Colorado Springs, Colo., and William Henderson and wife Melanie and their five children of Marion; and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruth Hall and Ella Powell, and his brother, Harvey Henderson. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Tommy Maddox was held at the Rehobeth Baptist Church, where he was a long time member and former deacon, on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment was in the Church Cemetery. In lieu flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Rehobeth Baptist Church, 5772 Shelltown Road, Westover, MD 21871.
