Fred Allen Simms

DENTON - Fred Allen Simms, formerly of Crisfield, died at his home on Friday, Nov. 4, 2016. Mr. Simms was born in Baltimore on Nov. 13, 1936. He was the son of the late Fred Woodrow Simms and Gertrude Louise Orme Simms. Mr. Simms served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1952 until 1957. He became a Water Meter Reader for the City of Baltimore and was also a small engine repairman for Sears and Roebuck. He retired in 1996 and in 1997 moved to Crisfield. He and his wife had recently moved to Denton to be with his daughter because of health concerns. Mr. Simms is survived by his wife, Mary C. Joan Simms, of Denton; two daughters, Theresa Yingling and her husband, Bryan, of Florida and Annette Constantino and her husband, Jerry, of Denton; one brother, Richard Simms, of Crumpton; a sister, Carolyn Lockwood, of Lansdowne; a half brother, Donald Wagner, of Hanover, Pa.; six grandchildren, Brad, Derek, Nicholas, Camden, Connor, and Isabella; and eight great-grandchildren, Kyle, Austin, Keara, Kacie, Julius, Alec, Leighton, and Sadie.
