Francis A.  “Frank” DiMondi, Jr. passed away unexpectedly on September 6, 2026 surrounded by his loving family in Dover, DE. Born in Dover, Frank was the beloved son of Francis A. DiMondi, Sr. and Patricia DiMondi Gisriel, both of whom are deceased.  Frank was a proud graduate of The Peddie School in Hightstown, NJ, and earned his undergraduate degree in finance at Washington College in Chestertown, MD.  After graduating from college, Frank began his career working alongside his father, Frank DiMondi, Sr. and his brother, Bill DiMondi in a third-generation family business, Wyoming Concrete Industries and Buffalo Concrete with building material production facilities in Wyoming, Dover, Salisbury, Townsend, Seaford and Federalsburg. Upon the death of their father in 1988, the brothers continued to manage and expanded the business to become one of the leading redi-mix concrete, precast and masonry block construction material suppliers on the Delmarva Peninsula. After the sale of the family business, Frank began his second career as a successful developer, home builder, construction manager and commercial landlord. Frank thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with his family, especially raising his precious and adorable daughter Bella DiMondi who just started her freshman year at The College of Charlestown. Frank and his wife Irena loved summers and divided their time between homes in Dewey Beach and Miami, FL. Having been a season ticket holder, Frank was no slouch when it came to his love of the Philadelphia Eagles and he anxiously looked forward to the arrival of Lebron “King” James on the Philadelphia 76ers. His pre-game tailgating parties were epic and full of memory making moments. Frank will be remembered for his sense of humor and adventure, dedication and love of family. He was a person of devout faith and a lifelong parishioner at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church in Dover. He was known for his significant generosity benefitting his church and many local charities.  His impact extended beyond his professional achievements to the many lives he touched throughout southern Delaware. He is survived by his wife Irena DiMondi of Felton, DE; his daughter Isabella (Bella) DiMondi of Felton, DE; his stepsons Richard Ger and Gabriel Ger of Miami, FL; his mother-in-law Tania Don-nelly of Hollywood, FL; his stepmother Jane DiMondi of Dover, DE; his brother William J. DiMondi (Susan) of Rehoboth Beach, DE; three sisters: Gayle Putt (Wil-liam) of Cumming, GA, Diane Seibold (John) of Charlton, MA and Kimberley Crossont of Rosedale, MD; eleven nieces and nephews; and twelve great-nieces and great-nephews. A viewing will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday September 14, 2026 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 West Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Tues-day September 15,, 2026 at Church of the Holy Cross, 631 S. State Street, Dover, DE 19901.
