Emma Magalene Davis Molock CAMBRIDGE - Emma Magalene Davis Molock departed this life Monday, August 11, 2008 in Dorchester General Hospital, Cambridge, after a lengthy illness. She was born August 8, 1922, to the late Edgar Davis and Hattie Nutter. She grew up on a small farm in Vienna (Indian Town. She was educated in Dorchester County public schools. Emma moved to Philadelphia, Pa., and worked several years at Bryn Mawr College, Bryn Mawr, Pa. Emma was a devoted family member, returning home often to visit family and loved ones. Once returning home, she was employed at various industrial factories, Bumble Bee and her last employment was a Kool Ice Seafood in Cambridge, until her retirement. She worked diligently beside her husband in their small businesses. Emma loved her family. She spent numerous hours and the majority of her time in the kitchen preparing meals for her family and friends. Emma also enjoyed reading and writing for enjoyment. Family gatherings were a special time for her to share memories and create new ones with her loved ones. Emma was united in holy matrimony to Benjamin Franklin Molock, Sr. on June 17, 1940 in Aireys. In this union they had seven children and one grandchild they raised. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and sang on Christ United Methodist Charge Choir until her health began to fail. Emma was raised in a Christian home with togetherness and love. Emma wanted nothing but the very best for those who surrounded her and did all she could to give them the very best of herself. In addition to her husband, she leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Benjamin Franklin Molock Jr. (Priscilla), Salisbury, and Keith J. Molock (Magalene), Aireys; three daughters, Patricia Brown (George), S.C., Ruth Stanley (Frederick), Cambridge,and Brenda Molock (Richard), Aireys; a granddaughter she raised, Beverly Robinson (Michael), Cambridge; a sister, Ruth Davis Braxton, Cambridge; 26 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; two great -great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by two sons, Edgar Molock and Luther Dudley Molock, five brothers, Leon, Albert, Clidel, Vernon and Luther Davis, three sisters, Mildred Young, Nellie Ennels, Wilsie Evans, Inez Molock and Lula Cornish and one granddaughter, Andrea Cornish. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, in the Refuge Temple Church of God, 800 Robbins St., Cambridge, with a viewing Friday evening 6 to 8 p.m. in Henry Funeral Home, PA 510 Washington St. Cambridge. Burial will be in Aireys Cemetery.
