Elsie R. Sheets, 85

FEDERALSBURG - Elsie R. Morris Sheets, 85, passed away at Memorial Hospital in Easton on Friday, Dec. 29, 2006.

She was born on Nov. 3, 1921 in Cordova, daughter of the late William Morris and Annie Swartz Morris.

Mrs. Sheets was a graduate of Cordova High School class of 1938. She was a manager at the former Jasper's Hardware Store in Easton.

She was a member of Union United Methodist Church in Federalsburg.

Mrs. Sheets is survived by her husband, Harold Alexander Sheets Sr., her husband of 56 years whom she married on July 7, 1950; five children, Shirley Mattox of Easton, Donna Towers and her husband, Wayne of Cambridge, Glenn Lee Secrist and his wife, Judy, of Cordova, Harold A. Sheets Jr. and his wife, Karen of Bridgeville, Del., Gary Sheets and his wife, Kelly of Preston; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jim Morris of Cordova, Albert Morris of Skipton, Bill Morris of Easton; a sister, Florence Simmons, of Chestertown, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Morris.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, at Framptom Funeral Home, PA in Federalsburg with the Rev. David Heistand officiating. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
