Edward Wahalla

SALISBURY - Edward Joseph Wahalla died on Fri., Mar. 13, 2015, at his residence. Born in Wyoming, Pa., he was the son of the late Matthew Wahalla and Catherine Pisczyzek Wahalla. He was a U.S. Army Korean war veteran and a member of The Mason Dixon Wood Workers Association in Salisbury. He worked as a machinist and press operator for 40-plus years for Palnut Industries Inc. in Mountainside, N.J., retiring in 1987. He enjoyed woodworking, reading books and was an avid sports fan. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wives, Marian Lucille Minarik Wahalla and Blanche Klock Wahalla; three brothers, Frank Wachalla, Stanley Vahalla and Walter Vahalla; and a sister, Mary Wahalla Rusniaczek, formerly of Seaford. He is survived by two children, Christine Marie Goebel of Salisbury and John G. Wahalla of Bridgewater, N.J.; three grandchildren; and two brothers, Ben Wahalla and Joseph Wachalla. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Sat., Mar. 21, 2015, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Salisbury. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
