DELMAR - Edward J. Michelsen died Friday, Jan. 19, 2018. Born in Salisbury, he was a son of the late Harry O. and Ada Louise Rowney Michelsen. He graduated from Mardela High School in 1967 and then served in the U.S. Navy. He worked at Barrett Chevrolet as a body shop technician, commercial refrigeration fabricator for M & M Refrigeration in Federalsburg and an industrial maintenance mechanic at Perdue Farms Agribusiness. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Sparrow Michelsen; a daughter, Melissa Scarborough; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; a sister, Louise Schrader; brothers, Niall Michelsen and Shawn Michelsen; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Michelsen Sr.; and a sister, Jocelyn Harman. A funeral service was held Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Interment followed in St. Stephens Cemetery Park in Delmar.
