CAMBRIDGE - Edith Bloodsworth Jones, 85, died Monday evening, April 2, 2007, at Dorchester General Hospital.

Born on Feb. 25, 1922 at Crocheron, she was the daughter of the late Noble Andrew Bloodsworth and Minnie McGlaughlin Bloodsworth.

On Dec. 3, 1938 she married Brady Force Jones. He died on Nov. 3, 1991.

Mrs. Jones had worked for Airpax, from which she after 28 years of employment. Mrs. Jones had also been a group leader.

Mrs. Jones resided in Bishops Head for most of her life and was a member of St. Thomas United Methodist Church there. After her husband died she moved to Cambridge to be closer to her family.

While residing in Secretary, with her grandson, Greg Whitten and his wife, Margaret she had attended Secretary United Methodist Church. While residing in Cambridge, with her daughter, Janet Jones Todd and her husband, Wayne, she attended St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Jones' hobbies were flower gardening, fishing, crabbing and cooking. She enjoyed cooking for her friends and family.

Surviving is her daughter, Janet Jones Todd and her husband, Wayne of Cambridge; granddaughter, Kim Whitten of Cambridge; a grandson, Greg Whitten and his wife, Margaret of East New Market; Kathi Adams and her husband, Glen of Seaford, Del.; four great-grandchildren, Blake and Meredith Whitten, Derek and Logan Adams; a sister, Jeanette Robbins of Cambridge; two brothers, Roger Bloodsworth of Wingate and Curtis Bloodsworth of Cambridge; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death was a son, Wayne Jones; two sisters, Pauline North and Ethel Andrews; and a brother, Billy Bloodsworth.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A., where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Officiating at the service will be The Rev. Helen Lockwood. Burial will follow at East New Market Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Danny Windsor, Kirk Bloodsworth, Weldon Andrews, Steve Bloodsworth, Wallace Bloodsworth, Robert Bramble and David Bloodsworth.

Memorial offerings may be made by making memorial offerings in Mrs. Jones' memory to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 99, Secretary, MD 21664.
