CAMBRIDGE — This year, Maple Lions are not only ROARING to SUCCESS but we are DRESSING for SUCCESS! Maple Elementary School opened on time and in style Aug. 26. Over 440 Maple Lions walked through the school doors in crisp new uniforms. Students donned either Khaki, navy or black uniform bottoms with dark green, pale yellow or white polo tops. It was a sight to behold!

Maple Elementary School implemented the school uniform pilot program this year to further the sense of community for the school and to improve discipline and attendance rates. The support from the community has been overwhelming in this endeavor. Along with several Dorchester County Public School employees, individuals from Zion Methodist Church, Progressive of Dorchester Temple 224, Faith Baptist Fellowship, and several other community members have contributed funds. All the funds donated have been used to purchase uniforms for families who needed assistance during this transition.

Maple Elementary is very thankful for all of the generous donations and excited to see the pride continue to grow across our school population and throughout the community.
