Dr. Raymond M. Yow, 85 SARASOTA, Fla. - Dr. Raymond M. Yow, 85, of Sarasota, and formerly of Salisbury, Md., died Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at his home. Dr. Yow was born April 12, 1924, in Raleigh, N.C., to the late Vernon S. and Nell P. Yow. He was the first Urological surgeon to establish a practice in Salisbury, retiring in 1987. He was active in several community organizations, serving on the Board of Trustees of the Peninsula General Hospital where he also served as president of the Medical staff and Chief of Surgery. He was a licensed lay reader at St. Peter's Episcopal Church also serving as a Vestryman and Senior Warden. He is survived by his wife, Cathie; his children from a previous marriage, Mrs. Peggy Scott and her husband, Greg; their daughters, Miki Fett and Mary Scott; son, Norman S. Yow and his wife, Leila; their two children, Jenna and Ryan; great-grandson, Gesse Fett and a niece, Leslie Mill-Santos. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dr. Patricia Ann Yow. A memorial service were Saturday, Dec. 12, at Holloway Funeral Home.
