SALISBURY - Dorothy Elizabeth Russell died Wednesday, Mar. 8, 2017, at Coastal Hospice At The Lake. Born in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Thomas Moore and Lillian Jackson Wood Moore. She worked for the Red Cross for many years and was a member of the Eastern Star. She and her late husband were also members of St. Paul On The Shore Lutheran Church in Hallwood. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 72 years in 2016, Andrew Lewis Russell, Jr.; and two siblings. She is survived by her children, Andrew Lewis Russell, III, of Ocean City, Thomas August Russell, of Dunkirk, and Denise Elizabeth Eberspeaker, of Salisbury; six grandchildren; six great-granddaughters; and one great-great-grandson. A memorial service was held Saturday, Mar. 11, 2017, at the Modest Town Baptist Church in Modest Town, Va. An inurnment followed the service at the church cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
