Doris W. Maddox

HEBRON - Doris W. Maddox died on Sunday, Jul. 16, 2017, at her home. Born in Exmore, she was the daughter of the late Jeff and Virginia Abrams Kellam.
She worked as a nurse at Peninsula General Hospital and later for Drs. Royer and Robbins. She helped her mother run Virginia's Restaurant in Hebron. She was a longtime member of the Union United Methodist Church, where she played the organ.
She is survived by a grandson, Donald R. Baker Jr. of Sharptown; two granddaughters; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Maddox; and a son, Donald R. Baker Sr.
A funeral service was held Thursday, Jul. 20, 2017, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Burial was in Hebron Cemetery in Hebron. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
