HURLOCK - Doris B. Parham, 79, passed away on Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, at Valerie and Rusty Phillips" home.
She was born in Easton on March 2, 1927, and was a daughter of the late Thomas Harry and Minnie Belle Saunders Hummer.
Mrs. Parham was raised in Cambridge by Mrs. "Pet" Bradley. She graduated from Cambridge High School.
On March 18, 1950, she married George R. Parham who passed away on Oct. 15, 2000. Mrs. Parham worked for a short while at Leggett and later was a homemaker.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, George R. "G.R." Parham II and his wife, Brianne, of Chambersburg, Pa., and William Alex Parham and wife, Tammy, of Hurlock; three grandchildren, Robert Alex Parham, Colyn William Parham and Garrett Robert Parham, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Parham was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Rusty Phillips, Brian Shufelt, Bobby Parham, Zachary Phillips, Billy Parks and David Greenhawk.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Grace United Methodist Church in Cambridge with the Rev. Douglas M. Ridley officiating. Burial will follow at East New Market Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 501 Race St., Cambridge, MD 21613, or to the Alzheimer"s Association, Eastern Shore Chapter, 209 C Milford St., Salisbury, MD 21804.
The arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A., in Cambridge.
