Dorchester Relay For Life celebrates 20 years in 2016

CAMBRIDGE — Dorchester Relay For Life will be celebrating “20 Years.  . . #Purple Strong” on May 20, 2016. The kick-off for this milestone event will be held on Jan. 26.

The location of the kick-off will be St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Cambridge, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Relay team captains, corporate sponsors, and cancer survivors and their families are invited to attend the big purple party which will feature light refreshments, activities and a ceremony celebrating the power of Relay For Life.

All those planning to attend are invited to dress in their most purple attire and be prepared for a “Purple Strong” party.

Two upcoming events are scheduled as Relay fundraisers: Relay Bingo on Jan. 31 at the Cambridge Moose Lodge, doors open at 1 p.m. and games begin at 2 p.m., 443-521-3704; and a Quarter Auction at the Cambridge Moose Lodge, Feb. 26, doors open at 5 p.m., auction begins at 6 p.m., 443-521-4298.
