Dorchester reaches 28 confirmed cases of COVID-19

CAMBRIDGE - The Dorchester County Health Department reported Tuesday morning that the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county had climbed to 28. This represented an increase of five from Monday.

Also on Tuesday morning, the Maryland Department of Health reported 14,193 confirmed cases in the state, an increase of 509 in the previous 24 hours. There were 68 deaths from the coronavirus in the same day, making the state's total so far in the pandemic 584.

Across the state, there are 3,158 hospitalizations, with 930 having been released from isolation.
