Burglary/assault
On Oct. 15, at approximately 10:50 a.m., Cambridge Police Department officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of Oakley Street for a reported past-occurred trespassing. Contact was made with the victim who reported that an ex-boyfriend had entered her residence without permission.
During the encounter an assault occurred where the victim was pushed multiple times. The suspect then damaged a Ring doorbell by pulling it from the wall. There was also a second subject who was with the suspect who had also reportedly entered the residence and took the Ring doorbell camera.
Through investigation, CPD was able to identify both subjects. The subjects were identified as Jacob Austin Redmer and George Dale Scruggs II.
Due to the suspects not being at the location upon the officer’s arrival, application of charges were completed on both subjects, and a District Court commissioner issued arrest warrants for both subjects.
On Oct. 15, Redmer was located by the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office. The arrest warrant for Redmer was faxed to DSO for service. Redmer was served the arrest warrant, had his initial appearance before a court commissioner and turned over to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections on no bond. Redmer was charged with the following:
On Oct. 16, CPD officers met with Scruggs who had come to the police department. Scruggs was served the arrest warrant, had his initial appearance before a court commissioner and released on an unsecured bond. Scruggs was charged with the following:
Assault/vulnerable adult abuse
On Oct. 16, at approximately 9:23 p.m., Cambridge police officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of Robbins Street for a reported assault. A woman has been arrested in connection with the case.
Contact was made with the victim and a family member who reported the assault. Through investigation, it was discovered that the victim had a subject providing care for the victim.
The subject providing care was reported to be assaulting the victim, taking their cell phone to prevent them from calling 911 or an ambulance for assistance and taking control of the victim’s residence, refusing family members from entering. Dorchester County EMS did respond to the location and aided the victim where they were transported to the University of Maryland Shore Regional Health at Dorchester for care. Adult Protective Services has also been notified of the incident.
The suspect in the incident was identified as Kami Lee Garcia-Trujillo. CPD officers completed an application of charges, where the District Court commissioner issued an arrest warrant for Garcia-Trujillo.
On Oct. 17 at approximately 2:38 a.m., Garcia-Trujillo was located by CPD officers in the 400 block of Robbins Street where she was arrested. Garcia-Trujillo was transported to CPD and served the arrest warrant. Garcia-Trujillo had her initial appearance before a court commissioner and was turned over to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections on no bond. Garcia-Trujillo was charged with the following:
Warrant service
On Oct. 14, at approximately 7:07 p.m., Cambridge officers had responded to Rite Aid for a theft call. During the investigation a suspect was located, who was found to have an active bench warrant.
Nathan Tyrone Johnson was arrested and transported to CPD where the bench warrant for violating Drug Court conditions was served. Johnson was turned over to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections on no bond.
Assault/criminal summons service
On Oct. 14 at approximately 9:17 p.m., CPD officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of Boundary Avenue for a welfare check. During the check, contact was made with the subject who reported an altercation/assault.
The suspect was not present at the location upon officers’ arrival. The District Court Commissioner issued a criminal summons for the female suspect.
Candy Michelle Vigneri was later served the criminal summons at the Dorchester County Detention Center where she was charged with assault second degree. Vigneri signed for the criminal summons and was released back to the custody of DCDC.
Criminal summons service
On Oct. 14, CPD officers responded to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections for a criminal summons service. Candy Michelle Vigneri was served the criminal summons, which resulted from an an incident that occurred on Oct. 13 at approximately 9:20 p.m. in the 700 block of Locust Street.
Vigneri was charged with the following:
Vigneri signed for the criminal summons and was released back to the custody of DCDC.
Disorderly conduct
On Oct. 15, at approximately 12:52 a.m., CPD officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of High Street for an unwanted subject. Contact was made with the victim and the suspect.
The suspect was asked to leave the property, which he did. Officers were called back to the location at approximately 1:02 a.m. due to the man returning to the residence.
He was again informed he had to leave and not return. He complied. Officers again were called back to the location at approximately 1:18 a.m. due to the man returning.
Officers again observed him on the property, where he was then placed under arrest.

Johnson was released from custody on criminal citations.
Theft/CDS violation
On Oct. 14, at approximately 7:07 p.m., CPD officers responded to Rite Aid in the 700 block of Sunburst Highway for a shoplifting. Upon officers’ arrival at the location, a description of the suspect was provided.
Officers located a subject matching the description coming from the bathroom area. The subject was detained at that time. During a search of the bathroom, officers located a pair of discarded pants that the suspect was originally wearing. The pants that the suspect was currently wearing belonged to Rite Aid.
Nathan Tyrone Johnson was placed under arrest and search incident to arrest he was found to be in possession of cannabis less than 10 grams. Johnson was later released on his signature on the following charges:
Violation of conditions
On Oct. 14, at approximately 7:07 p.m., CPD officers had responded to Rite Aid for a theft call. During the investigation, a Nathan Tyrone Johnson was located. He was found to have an active bench warrant.
Johnson was arrested and transported to CPD where the bench warrant for violating Drug Court conditions was served. Johnson was turned over to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections on no bond.
CDS arrest
On Oct. 17, deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff's Office stopped a motor vehicle on Chapel Road near Black Dog Alley, Easton, for a moving violation. Deputies made contact with the driver and identified a passenger as a 45-year-old Cambridge man.
Deputies developed probable cause to search the vehicle. During the search, deputies attempted to detain the passenger, who fled from the scene on foot and was apprehended after a short chase.
He was found to be in possession of controlled substances and related paraphernalia. Bernard DeAngelo Todd was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia, resisting arrest, fleeing and eluding, obstructing and hindering and possession of marijuana in the amount less than 10 grams.
Todd was transported to the Talbot County Central Booking facility for processing and an initial appearance before a District Court commissioner. Todd was held pending further action by the court.
Arrest warrant
On Oct. 19, at approximately 9 a.m., CPD officers arrested a 21-year-old Cambridge man at the District Court on an active Dorchester County Circuit Court arrest warrant. He was transported to CPD where the warrant was served.
Jabron Lamont Marquis Cooper was turned over to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections on no bond on the following charges:

On Oct. 19, at approximately 1:06 p.m., CPD officers met with a 28-year-old Cambridge woman at CPD.

On Oct. 19, at approximately 4:15 p.m., CPD officers met with a 39-year-old Cambridge woman at CPD.

On Oct. 21, at approximately 9:23 a.m., CPD officers met with a 46-year-old Cambridge man at CPD, regarding a threat of arson.
This incident occurred on Sept. 25 at approximately 8:33 p.m. in the 700 block of Washington Street, when CPD officers responded to the location for a disturbance. During the investigation, contact was made with the victim who relayed to officers that the suspect had verbally stated he would burn the house down with the victim inside.
CPD officers completed an application of charges on the suspect, where the District Court commissioner issued a criminal summons.

Richard Lockwood Slacum was served a criminal summons charging him with the following:

This incident occurred Sept. 5 in the 400 block of Sunburst Highway (E.S. Hubberts and Son’s) where an altercation occurred between two subjects and the complainant was allegedly assaulted by Slacum.
