CAMBRIDGE — Owner Joe Benischek recently relocated Technologies Engineering, Inc.’s (TEI) headquarters to Dorchester County. After considering different counties on the Eastern Shore, TEI chose Dorchester. The Dorchester County Economic Development Office worked with Mr. Benischek and planned site selection tours that showcased possible office space. Mr. Benischek said, “Although both Dorchester and Worcester counties have HUBZone status, a key deciding factor in my decision to relocate to Dorchester County was the Dorchester Department of Economic Development personnel’s very professional but personal touch facilitating my search for office space, assimilation into the community, and genuine interest in our company. They made us feel ‘at home’ from the very beginning.” TEI has provided exceptional cost-effective software development and software life-cycle management services for 20 years. In operation since 1994, TEI specializes in maximizing training, test, and evaluation automation, fusing data into actionable awareness, transforming organizations from struggling to performing, and much more. TEI has provided software development services to the federal government since 1996. Mr. Benischek added, “I was originally attracted to Dorchester County for its HUBZone designation. But since moving here, I have found myself involved in the community and doing my best to help the county’s business community thrive.” Partnering with the Dorchester County Economic Development office and the Dorchester Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Benischek is sharing his specialized experience through a series of classes called “Business Information I Wish I Knew 21 Years Ago.” Already entering the third week of class, participants are learning vital information for business growth. TEI currently employs four people at their Cambridge site and three at their Ft. Mead location. To learn more about Technologies Engineering, Inc., please visit www.tecenginc.com.
