CAMBRIDGE — It’s only about a month to go before the 71st Annual Cambridge-Dorchester County Christmas Parade, and, “We still need donors to pull off our event,” a statement from organizers said last week. This year’s theme is “Christmas Past & Present.”

The event, held on the first Saturday of December each year, is brought to the community by a small group of volunteers. “The parade is 100 percent donor funded by local businesses, charities, and the community at large,” the statement said.

“Want to know who to thank for the parade each year?” the statement said. “The list continues to grow, but the short list for 2019 includes many local businesses who always support the community.”

The biggest helpers this year are: Bay Country Communications, The American Legion - Post No. 91, and the Mid-Shore Community Foundation.

Organizers also asked the public to thank and patronize the following businesses, groups and individuals who make the event possible:

This year’s parade will be held Dec. 7. Lineup is at 4 p.m., and marching starts at 5 p.m.
