Robert Hanna Jr., MD, and R. Bruce Helmly, MD, to read and assess cardiac ultrasound testing images and measurements taken at any of the five UM Shore Regional Health cardiovascular diagnostic locations throughout the region. Both physicians have office hours at the Cambridge location. Purchased with resources from the Dorchester General Hospital Foundation, this technology – named syngo Dynamics – helps to streamline image review times and report processing times, improving both efficiency and the patient experience. “Through the years, the Dorchester General Hospital Foundation and members of the local community have been tremendous supporters of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Services,” comments Gary Jones, regional director of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Services at UM Shore Regional Health. “The syngo Dynamics review station facilitates access to our patients’ diagnostic results from the office at UM Shore Medical Pavilion at Dorchester.” Ida Jane Baker, president, Dorchester General Hospital Foundation, remarks, “Once again, the generosity of our local community has made it possible for the Foundation to support implementation of leading-edge technologies and services in Dorchester County.” As part of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), University of Maryland Shore Regional Health is the principal provider of comprehensive health care services for more than 170,000 residents of Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s and Talbot counties on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. UM Shore Regional Health’s team of more than 2,500 employees, medical staff, board members and volunteers works with various community partners to fulfill the organization’s mission of Creating Healthier Communities Together.
