Dennis P. Dillon, 56 EASTON, Md. - Dennis P. Dillon, of Easton, passed away on Nov. 6, 2009, with his family by his side. He was 56. Born on Aug. 7, 1953, in Easton, where he grew up and lived most of his life. He was the son of Elizabeth Bowie of Easton, and the late James (Pete) Dillon. After high school, he began working as a roofer for a local roofing company and continued in that path for the next 25 plus years. Dennis was a big sports fan. He loved the Orioles and the Ravens. For years he played in local softball leagues where his pitching skills and his home run hitting were amongst the top leagues categories. Dennis is survived by his daughter, Nicole Dillon of Farmington, Ill.; a son Ryan Dillon of DeKalb, Ill.; his mother, Elizabeth Bowie of Easton; two sisters, Vicky Van Loo (Bill) of Easton, and Stacy Bishoff of St. Michaels; two brothers, Bobby Bridges of Easton and Jim Dillon of Hillsboro. He is further survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Rex Dillon and his father James (Pete) Dillon. A funeral service will be noon, today, Nov. 10, at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Easton. Serving as pallbearers will be: Ryan Dillon, Bobby Bridges, James Dillon, Allen Lewis, David Lister, Melvin Rash, Paul Bishoff, and Billy Rash.
