Delores Joan Floyd, 66

STEVENSVILLE - Delores Joan Floyd, 66, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008 at the Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis.

She was born Aug. 2, 1941 in Baltimore daughter of the late Theodore Henry Ripke and Delores Elaine Sohn Kolarek.

Before her retirement, she worked as a teaching assistant in Queen Anne's County.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Thomas Floyd of Stevensville; one daughter, Kathleen M. Manley of Hurlock and her husband, Frank; one son, James F. Floyd of Joppa and his wife, Kellie; two granddaughters, Rebecca Floyd and Danica Manley; five brothers, Frank Kolarek, Bob Kolarek and John Kolarek, all of Baltimore, Michael Kolarek of Bel Air and Tom Kolarek of Hollywood, Calif.; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Connie Orem and her stepfather, Frank Kolarek.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Zeller Funeral Home in East New Market.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Secretary with the Rev. Anthony F. Greco as the celebrant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
