Dorchester Center for the Arts is pleased to welcome back Dancing on the Shore as they bring their master talent to DCA. The program will be held in the George B. Todd Performance Hall and instructed by Aggie Beletsky. Register now for this new dance class, plus party to practice the new steps.

Thursday, Dec. 8, 7-8:30 p.m. Cha-Cha workshop, followed by a Practice Dance Party from 8:30-9 p.m. $30 per person for each workshop and dance party combo.

Aggie started professional dance training in her 20s, when she walked into an Arthur Murray Dance Studio in San Diego, California. Although she had been partner dancing (waltz and swing) with her father back in Poland, she never had any formal training prior to entering that dance studio. Shortly after placing first in her first few amateur competitions, she started competing Pro/Am with her dance teacher at competitions all over the U.S. Nine years ago, Aggie joined Dancing on the Shore, an instructional dance company that has now served the Delmarva Peninsula for 20 years.

Tuesday, Dec. 13, 7 p.m., the all-volunteer Chorus of Dorchester performs a holiday concert in the George B. Todd Performance Hall. Join us for this seasonal favorite with Cookie Brohawn, conductor and piano accompanist Laura Todd. Admission is free, all are welcome.

The Merry Market holiday artisan show and sale continues in the gallery through Dec. 23. Dorchester Center for the Arts is committed to supporting and uplifting our local artists. We invite you to come see what the Merry Market has to offer.
