Six students also earned their geriatric nursing assistant certification.
At the May 19 pinning ceremony at Cambridge-South Dorchester High School, each of the new CNAs invited a loved one to formally present their pin.
These students will soon use their qualifications as a solid foundation to pursue their ambitions in the medical field, such as becoming a registered nurse, a physical therapist or an occupational therapist.
The event’s keynote speaker was state Delegate Joseline Peña-Melnyk, chair of the Health and Government Operations Committee of the Maryland House of Delegates.
