CAMBRIDGE — The Dorchester County Historical Society is busy preparing for its twice annual rummage sale “Recycle Dorchester.” This sale is held on DCHS’ campus, The Heritage Museums and Gardens of Dorchester, and is relied on to raise much-needed operating support for the organization. This fall’s sale will be held on Oct. 16 through Oct. 18, with the Thursday date being for members only.
Items that are being accepted include: furniture, clothing, sporting goods, small electronics, linens, household décor and goods, lighting, outdoor supplies and furniture, rugs, artwork, music and more. Larger items such as boats are also accepted, gratefully.
As a qualified 501 (c)3, any donations made to DCHS, in the form of inventory for the sale, is tax deductible and tax slips will be provided. This organization receives no public assistance for operations, relying heavily on its membership and the events that it produces.
