The 2016 Dark Horse Lacrosse Girls’ U9 players are Ava Beck, Eryn Callahan, Annalyn Crist, Kayla Davis, Caroline Ewing, Grier Kegan, Kylie Kroniser, Charlotte Lewis, Avery McCall, Grace Mohr, Maren Murdoch, Isabella Orellana, Eleanor Roberts and Miranda Stup.[/caption] EASTON – The summer youth lacrosse season is underway, and Dark Horse teams are traveling around the state gaining skills and maybe surprising a few squads with their skills. “Dark Horse Lacrosse is a youth lacrosse club committed to developing our players’ individual skills within a competitive team environment,” the group’s website said. “A dark horse is an unexpected contender, the unknown horse in the race who comes from behind to win. Being from the Shore, they never see us coming.” The girls’ U9 team began their campaign earlier this month at LAX-MAX in Westminster. “The girls played and are starting to make a name for themselves,” Julie Mohr, a mother of two players, said. “The Dark Horse boys U11 went to their second championship game within two weeks. They were 5-1 for the weekend, earning second place in the Beach LAX Festival in Ocean City.” Special to Dorchester Banner
