CAMBRIDGE - Daisy E. Sampson passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, at the Mallard Bay Nursing Home.

She was born June 1, 1922, in Crapo, daughter of the late Pete McCready and Sarah L. Johnson.

Mrs. Sampson attended schools in Dorchester County. After school she was employed at Rob Roy for many years. Later she became a beautician until her health began to fail. She was also a foster parent where she cared for many.

She was a member of the Hurlock United Methodist Church, formerly Union Grove United Methodist Church. Mrs. Sampson was a very active member serving on many organizations and boards within the church.

Mrs. Sampson was joined in marriage in 1950 to the late Thomas Sampson.

She is survived by two stepsons, Royce L. Sampson of Easton and Rudell Camper of Cambridge; an adopted son she raised as her own, Ross Sampson of Delaware; a brother, Otis Johnson of Cambridge; a sister, Annette Johnson of Cambridge; three sisters-in-law, Alberta Fletcher of Pennsylvania, Hattie Dennis of New Jersey, Mildred Johnson and Gladys Johnson, both of Cambridge and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two stepsons, Thomas E. Sampson of Hurlock, O'Donald B. Sampson of Baltimore; three brothers, James Johnson of Landover, Joseph Johnson of Washington, and Bernard Johnson of Cambridge; two sisters-in-law, Louise Johnson and Minnie Johnson, both of Cambridge.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, at Hurlock UM Church, 502 S. Main St., Hurlock, with a viewing one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Thompsontown Cemetery.

The Henry Funeral Home, PA is in charge of the arrangements.
