Cora E. Everett, 71 FRUITLAND - Cora E. Everett died Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, at Coastal Hospice At The Lake in Salisbury. Her parents were the late Edward and Elizabeth Adams Townsend. She worked for Perdue Farms for 24 years and was a former member of multiple motorcycle clubs. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Merle W. Everett; a daughter, Melissa L Baker of Fruitland; stepchildren, Carol Schott of Oregon, John Everett of Virginia, Daryle Everett of North Carolina and Esther Shapiro of Arizona; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Edward G. Townsend Jr. of Willards, Michael J. Townsend of Snow Hill and John Townsend of Salisbury; sisters, Sylvia J. Wooten of Fruitland and Sally Couch of Georgetown; a former husband and friend, Milton J. Moore; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles F. Townsend. A funeral service was held Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment was at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.
