SALISBURY - Colleen B. Ford of Salisbury died Monday, Sept. 14, 2015, at her home in Salisbury surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of Mary Elaine Barr and the late Robert S. Barr. She worked for many years in Special Education at different schools in Wicomico County as well as with the Maryland State Department of Education. She was also appointed mediator for the Wicomico County Court System. She officiated field hockey, basketball and women's lacrosse on the high school and collegiate levels. She was inducted into the Eastern Shore of Maryland Chapter Phi Delta Kappa in 1997. Some memberships throughout her life included the Maryland Public Secondary School Athletic Association, The Lower Eastern Shore Field Hockey/Lacrosse Officials Association, the Council for Exceptional Children and the Learning Disabilities Association. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, H. Paul Ford; son, Todd Pruitt of Goose Creek, S.C., daughter, Lyndsay Morris of Powder Springs, Ga., and son, Chad Ford of Baltimore; four grandchildren; and sister, Connie Wigglesworth of Salisbury. A Memorial Service was held Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Inurnment will be private by the family.
